Description

A rich and creamy sauce made from pistachios, perfect for desserts, salads, and more!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pistachios (unsalted, shelled)

  • ½ cup cream (or dairy-free alternative like almond milk)

  • 2 tbsp sugar (or honey/maple syrup for a natural sweetener)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Toast Pistachios: Lightly toast pistachios in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning. Let them cool.

  • Blend: Place cooled pistachios, cream, sugar, and salt in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, add more cream or water to reach your desired consistency.

  • Adjust Flavor: Taste and add more sweetener if desired or adjust salt to your preference.

  • Serve: Pour over desserts, drizzle over salads, or use as a unique pasta sauce.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

  • For a thicker texture, add more pistachios or reduce the cream.

  • Make it vegan by using a plant-based cream alternative.
