Cheesy BBQ Macaroni and Beef Bake

Ingredients:

- 12 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 lb ground beef or shredded cooked beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (choose your favorite flavor)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x9-inch or 9x13-inch baking dish.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.

4. Add ground beef (or shredded cooked beef), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.

5. Stir in barbecue sauce and let simmer on low heat for 3–5 minutes.

6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, butter, milk, half of the mozzarella, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until creamy and mixed.

7. Layer half of the cheesy macaroni mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with the barbecue beef mixture. Add the remaining macaroni over the beef.

8. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheeses evenly on top.

9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.

10. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
