Description
Try this easy, cheesy garlic chicken wrap recipe that’s perfect for busy nights. Make it in the air fryer or oven for a crispy, savory meal!
Ingredients
2 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat/low-carb alternatives)
2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless), cooked and shredded
1 cup mozzarella or cheddar cheese, shredded (or a mix like Monterey Jack)
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder if needed)
½ cup cream cheese, softened
¼ cup sour cream or ranch dressing (plus more for dipping)
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Season your chicken with garlic, salt, and pepper. This simple seasoning blend is all you need to bring out the savory flavors of the chicken and pair perfectly with the garlic and cheese in the wrap. Don’t skimp on the garlic!
Step 2: Heat a pan over medium-high heat and cook the chicken in olive oil or butter until it’s golden brown and cooked through. Depending on the thickness of the chicken, this should take about 6-8 minutes per side. Once done, remove from the heat and set aside to rest for a few minutes.
Step 3: Slice or shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. This will make it easier to wrap up inside the tortilla and ensure an even distribution of chicken in every bite.
Step 4: Now, it’s time to assemble your wraps! Lay out a tortilla and place a generous amount of shredded chicken in the center. Top with a handful of cheese and any other fillings you’d like, such as sautéed onions, bell peppers, or spinach.
Step 5: Roll up your tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go to prevent the filling from spilling out.
Notes
Feel free to mix in extras like sautéed spinach, jalapeños, or sun-dried tomatoes. Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
