Description

Indulge in the deliciousness of Cajun Steak Penne with Ranch Honey Cheese Sauce! This creamy, spicy dish combines Cajun-seasoned steak, tender penne pasta, and a rich ranch honey cheese sauce for the ultimate comfort food experience. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cajun Steak:

    • 2 sirloin or ribeye steaks

    • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

    • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • For the Penne:

    • 12 oz penne pasta

    • Salt (for the pasta water)

  • For the Ranch Honey Cheese Sauce:

    • 2 tbsp butter

    • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

    • 2 tbsp honey

    • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)

    • 1/4 cup milk (adjust for desired sauce consistency)

Instructions

  • Season the Steak: Rub the Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the steaks. Let the steak marinate for about 15 minutes.

  • Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks on both sides until they reach your preferred doneness (approximately 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare). Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice it against the grain.

  • Prepare the Penne: Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Make the Ranch Honey Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ranch dressing and honey, stirring until smooth. Gradually add the shredded cheese and milk, continuing to stir until the sauce is creamy and thickened.

  • Assemble the Dish: Combine the cooked penne pasta with the sauce, stirring to coat the pasta. Add in the sliced Cajun steak and toss until everything is well mixed.

  • Serve: Plate your Cajun Steak Penne with Ranch Honey Cheese Sauce and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add extra cayenne pepper or fresh chili to the sauce.

  • Customize your protein by swapping the steak for grilled chicken or shrimp.

  • Add vegetables like sautéed bell peppers or spinach for added color and nutrients.
